EXPERIENCE
I began in childcare as a 15 year old work experience student at Platypus Playcare Inc. in the heart of Eungella, QLD. From here I have built my knowledge of child development, moving from work experience student to a Junior Childcare Assistant within Platypus Playcare Inc. within one small year.

After spending three years at this centre, completing my school studies and my Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Services, I moved to the newly opened Petit Early Learning Journey, Marian centre. Here, I furthered my knowledge of how to work effectively in a large centre, complete essential paperwork and ultimately, how to better care for children within my role.
​
After one year, I moved into Mackay, completing positions of employment at various childcare centres, and taking on part-time childcare work over weekends and nights, for families that needed it most.
​
During this time I have also completed studies towards a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care with the New England College, and will complete this qualification in December of 2019.
​
In future, I plan to take on a certificate 3 of individual support (disability) amongst other qualifications that become relevant to the business needs.

Chloe has come to HCSS as a fresh student in the Diploma of Childhood education and care, with several units of her certificate 3 in childhood education and care behind her.

Chloe has spent the last few years working in retail and hospitality whilst she studied, and completed one year of experience at a registered daycare service.
​
Chloe has now made the switch from retail into childcare full time, as she completes her studies further, and takes on new courses.
​
Chloe comes with amazing references from current clients, and past employers. She has experience with children of high needs, particularly down syndrome.
​
Chloe plans to take on more studying in the future, such as a certificate course in Auslan, and other professional development courses.

EXPERIENCE
Chris has recently moved to Australia from the UK, and has brought wonderful experience and qualifications along with him!
​
Chris has experience with Goodwin Training Services from 2009-2011 as an engagement consultant/tutor support. This gave him experience with giving information advice and guidancesessions to clients, identifying client needs and agreeing on courses of action and helping to break down barriers to learning and employment.
He then moved on to be an IT trainer with Goodwin Training Services during 2011, supporting 70 learners, facilitating exams, providing one-on-one sessions to learners, creating and sourcing new learning material, and many other responsibilities.
​
Chris then moved on to become an employability coach with JHP Training from 2011-2012 dealing with interviews, delivering health and social care etc.
​
From here, Chris moved on between 2012-2013 to be an educator at St Giles Youth Service, helping to organise activities for the youth centre with primary aged children.
​
Between 2015-2017 in the Pilgrim hospital school Chris was a learning mentor, helping with TA related tasks, facilitating learning for children with SEND, helping children engage with learning along with listening to their needs and teaching KS3 maths class.
